The Twitezimbere Farmers group (roughly translated to ‘we work together for development’) is made up of 32 farmers from the village of Nyabubare. The group recently banded together to process and market their coffees as a separate, more select lot. They share knowledge and labour during harvest with the common goal of creating a better and more transparent coffee; this can help fetch them a higher income to help support their families. The added traceability and lot separation may also help them gain insights into their farming practices and further increase quality and income.
